Bắc Giang is a province in the Northeast region of Vietnam. Its oldest name was Kinh Bắc, a sub-division has ever included two modern provinces Bắc Giang and Bắc Ninh. It has been posed since the Lý Dynasty to emphasize the defense factor for Thăng Long capital-citadel.
