We have introduced limits on visitor numbers to help keep everyone safe, and you won't be able to visit without your booking confirmation. If you're a Member, your ticket will be free, but you still need to book in advance.

It's not far, but it is steep. I would say allow between 30 mins and an hour-ish to get up, and you'll be able to take a really gentle, steady pace, have chance to admire all the views, …

It is steep often using steps and across grassed areas to get up to the entrance to the castle itself. This again is accessed over a high arched bridge so in my opinion a small child would have extreme difficulty in traversing the area themselves.

When we visited their were dogs off leads. There is no 'indoors' as the castle is a ruin and they have to walk through the shop to gain entry.
