Even at low tide you have to cross a dip with water to get to the beach. At high tide it may be a bit deep for a beach wagon. But not too deep to walk through. Didn't see any shells or …

We camped at fort desoto and loved it. We now are becoming concerned about the recent reviews stating there is a rat problem. Why? Any feed back is very welcomed. We are campers and appreciate wildlife however rats are not at the top of my cute critter list. I am hoping for assurance that it is a fluke and not that bad.

We saw no rats, but it was a day trip, mostly biking. No camping.
