Is April a good time to see the manatees? Is there more chance of seeing them at a particular time of day? I think we will be there late afternoon/ early evening. Is parking available?

This is a small municipal park, not a manatee sanctuary. Look for some wildlife tour companies, or a larger park that actually has manatee habitats.

October is a good time to see them. Not necessarily at this park, they are everywhere in October. If you go to the Manatee Overlook at the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, I can almost guarantee you will see several of them. Also at Bair boat launch area nearby.
