The journey is quite a long one, bus from Margate to Canterbury and then the buses to Hawkinge are every 20 minutes. Not sure how close they come to the actual museum. Last entry to the museum is 4 p.m. but if you come in the morning you can get lunch in the Mess Room or bring your own. Well worth a visit but allow at least 2-3 hours.
