The Boulder Dam Hotel in Boulder City has a great little Hoover Dam Museum. If you are looking for a place to stay, I highly recommend this historic hotel and then the admission to the museum is free. It is small but there is a lot of information there. If you have kids they will enjoy the scavenger hunt you can take thru the museum. We enjoyed it and my kids are adults. When we visited the Hoover Dam, the elevators were broken so all we did was walk across the bridge to view the dam. If you cross the bridge into Arizona, parking is free and there is no charge to view the Dam.
