Scott is a town in Brown County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 3,636. November 1859 the Brown County Board of Supervisors voted to divide the Town of Green Bay into smaller townships, one of which was to become the present Town of Scott. Three names were proposed: Liberty, Pochequette, and Scott. This last name was a favorite of Robert Gibson, probably because it evoked memories of his homeland. Presumably it was in honor of Sir Walter Scott.
