It's a very small boat but would be suitable if you have a small dog you could put on your lap? However I am unsure as to whether they allow dogs on the island as part of day trips.

If you go to the Cornwall Wildlife Trust website, at the bottom of the page there is a download for the ferry times. They end at September but when I last visited the wardens said that it was likely the ferry would continue into October weather permitting. The phone numbers for the wardens and the boatman are on the download.
