A very interesting ride, with nice views. The train is also very photogenic. Sadly, it was raining when we had our ride, so it was cold and wet, and the views were very limited.Full review by Mike S

Well worth spending a day travelling on the tramway combining it with the Laxey wheel and the Snaefell mountain railway, if you get a Go card you can really save some money and it is so easy to use.…Full review by vinny4x4

We did. In fact we went Douglas to Laxey for Snaefell, up Snaefell, found fog, went back down, continued up electric railway to Ramsey for lunch, saw the top had cleared and returned to Laxey then up Snaefell for great views. Back down and to Douglas on the last tram the train staff are knowledgeable and helpful and will keep you right. We bought a day Explorer ticket for £17 each - well worth it! This was summer timetable so check in advance. Good luck!

We paid £16 each The ticket took us to Laxey on the train from Douglas. We changed at Laxey onto the Snaefell Railway and after a roam on the mountain we took the train back Laxey and then on to Douglas. We then used it to take the horse drawn tram on the 4 mile tip along the prom. Good value we thought.
