Q:
Are dogs allowed on trails?
A:
Yes. Dog is allowed on leash. My family with our border collie visited there 3 weeks ago. Nice place for people also dogs.
Q:
Can a handicapped person visit the ocmulgee mounds? How much walking is involved in a tour?
A:
It is a mostly walking tour. I do not think you could get to the top of the mounds without a great deal of difficulty. The tallest mounds require going upbmany flights of stairs.
Q:
Is it opened the day after Thanksgiving?
A:
I see no reason why it wouldn't be open the day after Thanksgiving. There is nothing on their website about it being closed. It is basically free unless there are special events.
Q:
How much does it cost
A:
It is free to visit. Make sure to watch the movie (the Ranger will start it when you ask) it gives a great introduction and explanation.
