A highly recommended cultural and historical visit in the centre of Oxford city. Matt, our tour guide, was very engaging and knowledgeable. The hour long+ tour is excellent value and very rewarding.Full review by Stephen H

We decided to do the tour after walking Oxford university for 2-3 hours and we are so happy we did it. Our tour guide Willow truly made the experience very enjoyable! I highly recommended it!Full review by Hernan G

Matt took our group up the tower, down into the crypt and into the prison cells. He told us several tales of woe and some with happy endings. There was an opportunity to have your mugshot taken. Theā€¦Full review by annaread5

How accessible is the castle and prison

The main tower isnā€™t accessible for (I think) under 5ā€™s. Itā€™s also got a lot of steps in a tight spiral staircase. If any of your party canā€™t go up the tower then they put a video on downstairs ā€¦

Sorry, no idea but it may just ensure you get on the tour at a time preferable to you rather than take a chance

Yes you can Although, you may have to be flexible with your time as it is pot luck.

There were about three children under 5 on the tour I went on and the guide made it entertaining for them, so I'm sure your children will enjoy it!
