Hi Sorry for the late reply. You cant really do it in a day its nearly 6 hour trip up too Badi Mayo,also no sea breeze up there so very little happens beween 11 and 2 due to the heat. You …

You can do a trip round the Island but to do it and enjoy you need overnight. Best bet if cutting costs i can tell you if , if your still keen message me for how i do it on the cheap which includes fast bus plus overnight at Boabolong Guesthouse at Janjanboureh. cheers john

Just Google Chimp rehabilitation centre,all the info you require is on their home page. I have been twice,I travel by air conditioned fast bus from Kanifing bus station 340 dalasi one way to Janjanboureh,5 hours with a couple of stops,stay in the Boabalong guesthouse on Mcarthy island overnight while they arrange my boat to the CRC.Go and do the overnight ,back to Mcarthy then next morning back to Kanifing. That's my way and its a 3 rd of the cost of an organised trip.

If your adventourus you can get an air conditioned bus from Kanifing bus station (clean bus,you want the blue express,cost 350 one way) get off at Janjanboureh(Georgetown) stay overnight by the river at the Boabalong Guesthouse(£17 b&b per night),where manager Kebba will sort all your needs incl overnight to stellas island to see the chimps or anything else you wish to see.

Hi If you actually stay right on the reserve accommodation , means you most have come out and follow the trans-Gambia high way down river to soma and used the new bridge to Farafine . there you can cross the boarder to Senegal Kaolaka and for to Dakar. It will like a day drive to Dakar
