What a stunning location! The only reason this review is not a 5 star is because the actual castle was closed due to work being done but in all honesty, the National Trust have done the right thing…Full review by bushhogt

Lovely place to visit when the suns out! There’s a little car park and a nice walk in the surrounding fields if you take the dogs. There is also a nearby airfield where you may be lucky enough to see…Full review by Curiosity30276238611

Does anyone know if the grounds of Tattershall Castle are sufficiently large enough to exercise a dog in? I understand that dogs must remain on their leads, but are the grounds large enough to exercise a medium sized dog without walking in circles? Many thanks.

Hi, from memory the grounds are fairly moderate in size and enclosed, you will still enjoy a nice walk around them but if you come out of the castle grounds then walk through the church yard next door towards the car park you will see a gateway from the car park to a field. The field leads to a pathway that runs next to a waterway and from there you would be able to enjoy endless walks in either direction and the pathway also leads to the neighbouring caravan and water sports centre. Best way is always to go and explore and have fun, hope that helps. Best regards.
Hi please could you tell me how much it is to get in. We are a family of 5 and would like to know as we are hoping ti visit while on holiday there next week. Thank you.

Good morning I hope this helps ,adult standard is £6.36 gifted it is £7 ,child is £3.18 gifted is £ 3.50 for a family it is £15.90 but if gifted it is £17.50 ,I hope you enjoy your time
It's approx. 1 hour and 40 minutes from Sheffield. If you enter your postcode into google maps and then ask for direction to the castle it will give you a more accurate time. Hope that helps.
