Hello. I'm trying to decide which time to book for the Harry Potter Tour this December. Since this is an indoor event, I thought we could book it later in the day (12:45) and explore elsewhere earlier in the day to make the most of daylight hours. I checked and we would be allowed back in the studio after the tour that particular day to explore on our own, which many have noted as an incredible perk. The studio closes at 22:00 that day, quite late, and I'm sure we would not need anywhere near that amount of time. It seems that a later booking would suit our purposes, but I'm writing in case there are things I've not considered. Thank you, in advance.

Hi! I did this tour on my own but as part of a tour group. We arrived at around the same time you're looking at and I was able to get everything done I wanted to and left around 6.30 pm to get back to London but could have stayed much longer. If you're doing the guided tour (highly recommended) you will get a great all-round look at everything with lots of info you wouldn't get otherwise, then you can go back in and explore. They allow a certain number of people in at one time so it's not overly busy when you want to look at displays and take pics. I will admit I spent quite a lot of time in the massive gift shop in that time frame as well. The food court looked nice and reasonable pricing so you may need to factor food breaks in, too. Depending on how many are in your group and how long you want to spend in each area will make a difference, but I think you'll have plenty of time. Make sure you have a lot of battery power for taking photos!

We did the entire tour which was great but the actual "Changing of the Guards" is fairly boring. I would head to Wellington Barracks where the band leads the new guards out of Wellington Palace. Less crowds and the band provides a real sense of occasion and was a highlight for us.

Hi, just wonder if I could make a day trip to stonehedge and Lacock from central London? How do I get there by train?
A:
We didn't leave London. Some travel companies such as Viator, offer excursions.
