The Breakwater makes for an excellent day out, but would not recommend for anybody faint of heart as the summit of the mountain is much steeper than it looks.Full review by Discover09633559336
Hi there, my husband's great uncle, part of the crew of WWII's "Jig's Up," is memorialized here, and we are making a trip from NYC to Wales (via London) to see the B24 memorial in Holyhead Breakwater Country Park. We are taking the train from London to Holyhead but are unsure what to do when we get off the train. Does anyone know how to find the memorial within the park? I am not expecting the info centre to be open given that it will be the week between New Year's and Xmas. Thank you!

There isnt any public transport to the park but if you get off the bus at Holyhead then walk to Newry Beach about 20 mins walk along the sea front tothe far end and you will come to the country park. Its a lovely walk but quite a long way from town. You really need a car.
