We usually go where the locals go so in Silves I’d suggest U Monchiquerio which is at the bottom of the hill near the indoor market. If you’ve parked in the large free car park near the swimming pool and football stadium head towards Lidl and you can’t miss it along on the left near the roadside.

Parking lot in the lower town along the river and walk up across town or on the north side of the Castle, there is a large parking lot. You still have to walk up to the castle from there and make sure the entrance from that side is open. The walk accross town is much nicer anyways.
