The U.S. Department of Justice said Boeing must pay $1.1 billion, including $445 million for the crash victims' families.

Boeing and the Justice Department reached a tentative agreement for the plane maker to pay $1.1 billion to avoid prosecution for two plane crashes. The nonprosecution agreement would mean Boeing avoids a trial–which was slated to start June 23–for two crashes of its 737 MAX jets that left 346 people dead.
