Three people are dead, and nine others injured after police say several gunmen opened fire inside a nightclub in Brooklyn early Sunday morning.
A shooting in Brooklyn left several people wounded early Sunday, according to the New York City Police Department. At approximately 3:27 a.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired at 903 Franklin Avenue, according to the NYPD. Upon arrival, police discovered multiple people suffering from gunshot wounds inside the location.
Speaking with reporters at a canvass launch event in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NYC Democratic mayoral candidate, Zohran Mamdani, called the shooting "another example of the scourge of gun violence" in New York City.
A second gunman has been arrested in connection with this week’s incident in Brooklyn where police shot one suspected gunman, law enforcement sources with knowledge of the case said Thursday, as both alleged shooters now face federal charges.
Multiple people have been shot inside a New York City restaurant as police frantically hunt for the the gunman, who remains at large.
