Czech tennis player Jakub Mensik has knocked sixth seed Casper Ruud out of the 2025 Australian Open. Mensik claimed a 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 win over Ruud in the men's singles second-round clash. Notably, the Czech star made his Australian Open debut in 2024.

Australian Open 2025: 19-year-old Jakub Mensik stunned World No. 6 Casper Ruud to storm into the men's singles third round. Mensik defeated Ruud 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 in the second round. This marks the first time since 2006 that two teenagers have ousted top 10 players in a Grand Slam.
