The Final Reckoning is headed to the Cannes Film Festival. MI:8 will screen out of competition on May 14, with Cruise, director and screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie and the rest of the film's cast walking up the steps of the Palais des Festivals for a launch in the Grand Theatre Lumiere.

“Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning” will debut Out of Competition at the Grand Théâtre Lumière on Wednesday, May 14. Actor/producer Cruise, his long-time collaborator director/screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie, and the rest of the cast will walk the steps of the Palais des Festivals on the red carpet.

Paramount saved its biggest film and its biggest star for last in its CinemaCon presentation with a new trailer for “Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning” presented by Ethan Hunt himself, Tom Cruise.
