McDavid’s second goal of the game at 12:49 of the third period gave him 1,044 points in 686 career games with Edmonton, passing Hockey Hall of Famer Jari Kurri’s mark with the Oilers (1,043 points in 754 games). Wayne Gretzky is the franchise leader in points (1,669 in 696 games).

Connor McDavid continues setting records and moving up scoring lists. McDavid had two goals and an assist in the Edmonton Oilers’ 5-3 win against the Minnesota Wild, passing Jari Kurri for second all-time in points in Edmonton history.

Johansson, 34, has played in 44 of the team's 45 games this year. He has five goals and 16 points. The 6-foot-1 forward was in the defensive zone when he caught an elbow from Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid. Johansson immediately fell over and his helmet also came off later.

Connor McDavid continues to climb the ranks. In picking up a trio of points in Wednesday’s 5-3 road win over the Minnesota Wild, the Edmonton Oilers captain pushed his career point total to 1,044 and surpassed legendary forward Jari Kurri for second place on the franchise’s all-time scoring list.
