WASHINGTON (AP) ā Two staff members of the Israeli Embassy in Washington ā a young couple on the verge of becoming engaged ā were fatally shot Wednesday evening while leaving an event at a Jewish museum, and the suspect yelled, āFree, free Palestineā after he was arrested, police said.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office issued a statement in the aftermath of the shooting saying he was "shocked" at the murder of two employees of the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C.
