Cristiana Girelli scored a 90th-minute winner as Italy beat Norway 2-1 on Wednesday to book their spot in the semi-finals at the Women's European Championship.

The strong Italians look to advance to the semifinals on Wednesday when they go up against Norway in the 2025 UEFA Women’s European Championship Quarterfinals.

An ecstatic Italy coach Andrea Soncin credited past players for paving the way after clinching their first Women's Euro semifinal berth since 1997.

Norway forward Elisabeth Terland lamented her team's failure to capitalise on key moments after a late defensive error allowed Cristiana Girelli to score her second goal, sending Italy to the Euro 2025 semi-finals on Wednesday with a 2-1 win.

Bulgaria is tapping the international debt market for the second time in 2025, capitalizing on credit-rating upgrades spurred by its entry into the euro area next year.

"This is a budget for the realities of today, as well as the challenges of tomorrow," European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said during a press conference. The proposal must still be approved by the European Parliament and EU member states and could undergo changes in that process.
