Thomann, who was six months pregnant, was pronounced dead just before the New Year after suffering multiple fractures to her chest and skull that rendered her brain dead.

Clara Thomann, 33, from Santa Barbara, Calif., slipped and fell 164 feet down a gorge in Preveli on the Greek island of Crete on the afternoon of Dec. 23 and was declared brain-dead on Dec. 29, per SFGate and local outlets Greek Reporter and Nea Kriti.
