Israel will receive a "devastating and decisive response" if it attacks Iran, Tehran's Revolutionary Guards said on Thursday, days after CNN reported U.S. intelligence suggesting Israel was making preparations to strike Iranian nuclear facilities.

VATICAN CITY (AP) — Pope Leo XIV called Wednesday for humanitarian aid to reach the Gaza Strip and for an end to the “heartbreaking” toll on its people, as he presided over his first general audience in St. Peter’s Square.

The prime minister said that while Israel plans to take “all” of Gaza, he had to prevent mass starvation there for “practical and diplomatic reasons.”

Palestinians in Gaza are still desperately waiting for the food aid to arrive despite mounting pressure on the Israeli government to ease its military offensive and allow more humanitarian supplies into the territory.
