A proposal for a three-day concert event in Golden Gate Park in honor of the Grateful Dead’s 60th anniversary has been approved. The concerts will feature Dead & Company as a headliner and were proposed earlier this week by San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie.

Thousands of Deadheads are expected to descend on Golden Gate Park this summer now that the San Francisco Recreation and Park Commission approved a three-day concert to mark the 60th anniversary of the Grateful Dead.
