Millions of Pixel users have already upgraded to Android 15, with the latest version of the OS promising a wealth of security and privacy updates. Announcing its release last week, Google promised “security features that help keep your sensitive health, financial and personal information protected from theft and fraud.”

Android 15 seems to be bricking certain Pixel 6 models, with the issue potentially linked to the new Private Space feature.

Some Pixel 6 owners report that their device went completely dead after installing the Android 15 update and enabling Private Space.

At long last, Android 15 is officially rolling out to compatible Google Pixel phones (i.e. the Google Pixel 6 and newer), meaning many of the features already teased in various Android 15 betas are now available in their finished form.

Android 15 introduces a completely new design to the expanded Android volume panel on Pixels — with larger, more easily adjusted sliders for specific sorts of media volumes as well as a more prominent button to shift your phone’s audio output from the phone itself to any connected devices.

Although the update process is smooth and uneventful, some Pixel 6 users have complained that Android 15 is bricking their devices.

On Android 15, Private Space lets you hide apps, but multiple users on Reddit say the feature killed their Pixel 6 smartphones.

Users on Reddit have reported issues with the Pixel 6/6 Pro after updating to Android 15. The issue seems to be confined to the enabling of Private Spaces as users observe unresponsive devices. The Pixel 6 series had an issue in July with its factory reset function,

As of now, all we can suggest to Pixel 6 and 6 Pro owners is to consider delaying the Android 15 update until Google addresses these issues. Honestly, it's not such a big upgrade
