The Cedarville University community is mourning the loss of Grace Maxwell, one of nearly 70 people who died in the crash between an Army helicopter and an American Airlines flight at Reagan Washington National Airport.

A junior at Cedarville University who had reportedly just returned to Kansas for her grandfather’s funeral is among the 67 feared dead in a plane crash.

“Our hearts are broken,” the university said in a letter to the Cedarville family. “Grace was a resident of Maddox Hall and known to be a thoughtful, quiet student leader.” Cedarville students are feeling the weight of this loss.
