LSU football linebacker Harold Perkins announced his intention to return to LSU in 2025 on Friday. There was plenty of speculation about Perkins' next move in recent weeks. Some wondered if he'd enter the transfer portal.

Perkins was limited to four games as a junior in 2024 after suffering a season-ending knee injury against UCLA in a 34-17 victory on Sept. 21. Prior to that point, he had 17 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss, and a fumble recovery.

Perkins will return to LSU for the 2025 college football season. Perkins finished the 2024 college football season with one fumble recovery and 16 tackles in four games. He missed a majority of the year after suffering a torn ACL against the UCLA Bruins on Sept. 21.

LSU has been busy this month bringing in football reinforcements via the transfer portal but the news got better Friday with the announcement that another talented player already on the roster will stay for 2025.
