IU is graduating 11 starters (five on offense and six on defense) and could face additional attrition with players departing for the draft or portal.

Indiana football has signed former Pittsburgh defensive back Ryland Gandy out of the transfer portal. Gandy made the announcement with a post on his X account. The redshirt junior was a full-time starter for Pitt in 2024 — he had 40 tackles (23 solo) with two pass breakups in 13 starts — and has two years of eligibility remaining.

Transfer portal season has started. The portal doesn't open up until Dec. 9, but with the end of the regular season Saturday, players have begun making their decisions to enter the portal.
