"Good Trouble Lives On" protests across the U.S. are set for July 17 to protest the Trump administration and to honor civil rights activist John Lewis.

Local grassroots organizations will gather at Kansas City’s Swope Park Thursday to celebrate the life and legacy of Rep. John Lewis, according to event organizers.

Those attending the rally are encouraged to give blood during a blood drive that day and to make a donation to the Rainbow Connection.

Anti-Trump protestors are aiming to stir up some "Good Trouble" — the name given to planned protests against President Donald Trump’s administration — on Thursday, July 17, the fifth anniversary of the death of civil rights champion and Congressman John Lewis.
