Durant reportedly has a wishlist (the Spurs, Rockets and Heat reportedly are on it), and with his expiring contract, he has a bit of leverage to get the deal he wants. But he is 37, not 27, and the threat of him passing on a lucrative two-year extension doesn't hold quite the same weight it once would.

The Phoenix Suns are reportedly getting closer to having a trade in place for veteran star Kevin Durant, albeit with a number of teams still in the running to secure his services.

Durant, currently with the Suns, was the second overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft by the Seattle SuperSonics. He earned Rookie of the Year honors in 2008 and later helped lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to the NBA finals. Though he didn’t win a title there, he captured back-to-back championships with the Golden State Warriors alongside Steph Curry.
