Martin Truex Jr. will aim to make the first start of his post-retirement career in NASCAR's biggest race, next month's Daytona 500.

Martin Truex Jr. will make a celebrated comeback to NASCAR in the 2025 Daytona 500, driving the No. 56 Toyota Camry XSE for TRICON Garage.

Bass Pro Shops announced today that it will be the primary sponsor for longtime partner Martin Truex Jr. for the 67th running of the Daytona 500 on Feb. 16. Daytona will reunite the winning team that has been together since 2001 and included such career highlights for Truex as the 2017 Cup Series championship,

Truex must either post a fast speed in qualifying or secure the transfer position in his qualifying race to claim a spot in Daytona.

Tricon Garage, which competes in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, will field a Daytona 500 entry for former Cup champion Martin Truex Jr. It marks the first Cup event for the Toyota team. Truex also will be reunited with former crew chief Cole Pearn for this effort.
