The Mexican president said Friday that any reported US military intervention against drug cartels operating in Mexico was “absolutely off the table.”

In February, the Trump administration designated eight drug trafficking groups as terrorist organizations, including six in Mexico.

Claudia Sheinbaum said her administration had been informed about the executive order, but emphasized that "it had nothing to do with the participation of any military forces in Mexico."
