The double shooting took place near 300 E. Juneau Ave. at about 2:10 a.m. on July 19, according to Milwaukee police. The investigation is ongoing.

Tremaine Jones, the Milwaukee man accused in the shooting that killed Officer Kendall Corder and wounded Officer Christopher McCray, pleaded not guilty to criminal charges on Friday, July 18.

Milwaukee police say the teen was transported to a local hospital for treatment. They're still searching for suspects.

The shooting, which took place in the 3200 block of W. Vliet Street at approximately 8:10 p.m., killed a 13-year-old, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the suspect was negligently handling a firearm and unintentionally shot the victim.
