It has been a hectic week in Carlsbad as the NCAA Women’s Championship has been unfolding on a day by day basis. Wednesday brought the National Championship showdown between the Northwestern Wildcats and Stanford Cardinal and at long last we have a winner.

CARLSBAD, Calif. — Northwestern captured its first NCAA women’s golf championship Wednesday when Dianna Lee holed a 5-foot par putt on the 18th hole to beat Andrea Revuelta for a 3-2 victory over top-seeded Stanford to end a final hour of high tension.

Can you be one of the greatest college women’s golf teams in history and not win the national championship? That is a question Stanford will forever face about the Cardinal’s ultimately bittersweet 2024-25 campaign.
