Ne Zha 2 has just edged out Pixar's Inside Out 2 with a reported $1.72 billion and is on track to hit the exclusive $2 billion club.

Chinese animated film Ne Zha 2 has become the highest grosser of all time. It has surpassed Disney's Inside Out 2. The sequel of Ne Zha released on January 29.

This stat comes from Deadline, which notes Ne Zha 2 is also rocketing its way up the all-time highest-grossing list; it’s at number eight ( Inside Out 2 now sits at number nine), though it’ll take some doing for any movie to dislodge the James Cameron trio (plus a certain Avengers flick) that currently hold the top four spots.
