The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission has increased appointment access for REAL IDs on Thursdays as the May 7 REAL ID deadline approaches. A March 4 press release from the commission stated that this is to begin March 20 at licensing centers across the state,

Beginning March 20, the state will add thousands of Real ID and license renewal appointments every Thursday until the May 7 deadline.

After many years of postponements, the final deadline for REAL ID is here. By May 7, those over 18 traveling with a driver's license or state-issued ID will need their identification card to be REAL ID compliant in order to board domestic flights.
