Fiorentina striker Nicolo Zaniolo has been accused by AS Roma, his former club, of having assaulted two Roma Primavera players at the end of the match between the same AS Roma and Fiorentina youth teams. The Giallorossi, following their defeat against the Viola, have issued a statement on the matter.

Roma have accused former player Nicolo Zaniolo of illegally breaking into the dressing room and assaulting two players after watching the Primevera youth league title play-off final from the stands; Zaniolo denied any wrongdoing;

Roma accused Nicolò Zaniolo of hospitalising two of their youth players while intoxicated in what they termed "violent and unjustifiable behaviour."
