Nvidia, RTX and DLSS
Nvidia says the RTX 5080 is ‘about’ 15% faster than the RTX 4080 without DLSS
Nvidia has provided some more concrete performance estimates for its upcoming RTX 50-series graphics cards without DLSS turned on.
DLSS 4 Improvements Are Coming To All NVIDIA RTX GPUs
NVIDIA's RTX 5000 range of graphics cards pack a huge punch. But one of the biggest improvements of the new GPU range is the addition of DLSS 4, which promises better frame generation and upscaling to make your games feel as native as possible.
Nvidia's RTX 5090 still can't game in 4K without DLSS 4
That's where DLSS 4 comes in. With the latest iteration of Nvidia's frame generation technology, you'll be able to game in 4K with frame rates over 200 fps. Of course, you're relying on software performance to generate all of those additional frames rather than pure silicon, and not all games offer DLSS 4 support.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but Nvidia, good on you - RTX 4000 series GPUs will receive DLSS Frame Generation enhancements this month
Honestly, I'm not sure, at least regarding the wallet-busting RTX 5080 or 5090 for now. While we’re still awaiting actual performance results, there's a strong chance that DLSS 4 will prove to be a massive benefit to the older GPUs.
An Nvidia supercomputer has been improving DLSS non-stop for the past six years
While discussing the tech at at the consumer electronics show, Nvidia's VP of applied deep learning research, Bryan Catanzaro, said improving DLSS has been a continuous,
NVIDIA has shown tests without DLSS — RTX 5090 is 30% faster than 4090, other graphics cards received less acceleration
The advantage of NVIDIA RTX 50xx Blackwell video cards over their predecessors without using DLSS is 15–30% — the company has released additional
The RTX 5060 will be Nvidia’s most important GPU, and I’m worried about it
Nvidia hasn't announced the RTX 5060 yet, but I'm already worried about how the card will perform when it shows up.The Latest Tech News, Delivered to Your Inbox
