BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend 2025 is set to take place in Liverpool in May, with an incredible line-up of music stars set to descend on the city over the course of the weekend. The announcement was made live on Radio 1 this morning, with music fans excited to find out the first five artists on the line-up.

Sam Fender will be headlining Radio 1's Big Weekend this year, it has been announced. Joining him across the three-day event in Liverpool will be Myles Smith, Wet Leg, Blossoms and Lola Young. The festival will take place at Sefton Park from Friday 23 May - Sunday 25 May.

This morning, BBC Radio 1 presenter Greg James announced that this year's Big Weekend would be held in Liverpool, birthplace of The Beatles, on the weekend of Friday 23rd May to Sunday 25th May 2025.
