Officers responded to a call at 7:54 a.m. in the 4400 block of Banks Street, where they learned that a woman was shot and sent to a hospital by paramedics. The victim told police that the shooting occurred during an armed robbery. NOPD did not specify if the woman was inside of a home or business at the time of the crime.

New Orleans Police say an armed robber attacked a woman this morning in Mid-City. “The NOPD is investigating an armed robbery incident in the 4400 block of Banks Street that also involves a shooting,” according to a news release.
