Sony announced at CES that film cameras would continue to roll as the company builds a strong portfolio of titles at PlayStation Productions.

Helldivers 2 is not the only video game adaptation coming up in the next few years. Sony also announced a film adaptation of Guerrilla's Horizon Zero Dawn, and an anime adaptation of Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima.

"We are excited to announce we are working with Sony Pictures on developing a film adaptation of our amazingly popular PlayStation game Helldivers 2," said Asad Qizilbash, head of PlayStation Productions,
