After falling on Monday night to the Philadelphia Flyers, Florida dug deep and earned a gutsy 2-1 shootout win over the Devils, thanks in large part to a great game between the pipes by Spencer Knight.

After losing two straight games, the Florida Panthers played an all-out road game against the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday night. For the first six minutes, the Panthers only offered up two shots on goal — and had no high-danger shots through a scoreless two periods.

Florida Panthers goaltender Spencer Knight may be turning a corner. The youngster looked incredibly strong during Florida’s 3-2 shootout victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday night at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise.

The New Jersey Devils lost 2-1 in a shootout to the Florida Panthers on Tuesday night at The Rock. The Devils played a solid game, limiting chances, particularly in the first and second periods, but had a few missed offensive opportunities that sent the game to overtime and then a shootout.

With a 2-1 shootout win at New Jersey on Tuesday, the Panthers improved to 4-0 in shootouts and moved into a tie with the Columbus Blue Jackets for the most shootout wins in the NHL in 2024-25. As it has been in each of their other shootouts, both the shooters and goalie got it done.

The Panthers took the lead with 11:12 left in regulation on a Matthew Tkachuk power-play goal on his first shift after spending 12 minutes in the penalty box due to an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and a 10-minute misconduct stemming from a scrum in the Panthers’ offensive zone late in the second period.
