This major customer perk is going away on July 28, the retailer has announced: Say goodbye to price matching with Amazon and Walmart.
Under Target's current policy, the company will match the price of store-bought products if customers "then find the identical item for less at Target.com, Amazon, Walmart " or with the Target Circle loyalty program, allowing customers to make a request within 14 days of purchase.
There are seven Target stores that are slated to open Aug. 17. This store features Drive Up, Order Pickup and same-day delivery with Target Circle 360, as well as next-day delivery to the Jurupa Valley area. It also features an Apple store, CVS Pharmacy, Starbucks and Target Optical.
Target is ending its price-matching program on July 28th. This sudden reversal of the longtime policy has shoppers discussing the move on social media. Many have plenty of feedback for the retail giant. Some are celebrating the action, hoping for less checkout confusion, while others are simply outraged.
