On Tuesday, Adobe announced that the Photoshop app will be available on the Google Play Store for the most popular Android smartphones. The Android app (beta) is free, and the only requirement is a device running Android 11 or later, with a minimum of 6GB of RAM, 8GB for optimal performance.

Adobe says that, as a beta version, the Photoshop Android app offers all features for free. The iOS version, which is out of beta testing, is also a free app, but some premium features require a subscription. The Android version of Photoshop is available from Google Play.

A few months after releasing a version for iPhones, Adobe has launched Photoshop Mobile for Android, bringing its suite of photo editing tools to a much wider market. While this new app is in beta form as the company works out the kinks, it's also offering a number of premium tools and features for free.
