Napoli have blamed Alejandro Garnacho for the failed transfer in January, accusing the Man Utd winger of asking for too much money.

That’s because there’s no initial cost associated with homegrown talent, so clubs are permitted to reinvest profit into new transfers. It’s a regulation that’s seen the likes of Conor Gallagher sold by Chelsea and Yankuba Minteh and Elliot Anderson released by Newcastle.
