The Baltimore Orioles are nearing the bottom of the barrel in MLB with their highly disappointing year to this point.

Baltimore’s long baseball nightmare is far from over. The Orioles fell to the Nationals, 10-4, in another ugly loss Sunday afternoon.

When will each loss stop feeling like a new rock bottom for the 2025 Orioles? It wasn’t Friday night at Camden Yards, where Baltimore’s 4-3 loss to Washington may have been its toughest defeat yet -- or at least it felt like it again.

Speaking of that 2019 season, manager Brandon Hyde was in the fold for that 54-108 finish, and has remained with the Orioles. Hyde is the main person that Orioles fans want gone, with one X user posting: "Brandon Hyde was originally hired to lose 100+ games multiple times. Can't say he isn't good at his job, I guess?"

Baltimore began the season with credible expectations to contend for the World Series but has struggled to a 15-28 record, the fourth worst in MLB.

Tuesday's Minnesota Twins and Baltimore Orioles game was postponed due to weather and will be made up as part of a doubleheader Wednesday.

Brandon Hyde, who guided the Baltimore Orioles through a gutting rebuild and led them to a 101-win season and consecutive playoff berths, was fired by the club on Saturday as it holds the second-worst record in the American League.

Starter Kyle Gibson was unable to finish the first inning during the Orioles' 10-6 loss to the Nationals. He allowed six runs on six hits and a walk, throwing 47 pitches while recording two outs. Gibson, through four outings, now has a 16.78 ERA and a 2.919 WHIP in 12.1 innings.
