The barred owl was struck by a vehicle coming down Route 143, the Williamsburg Police and Fire Department said on Facebook. The owl was taken to a local veterinary clinic, the first responders said.

A barred owl that was apparently exposed to rat poison and struck by a car in Charlestown is clinging to life at a rehabilitation clinic.
