Binturongs' popcorn perfume plays a vital role in communication, helping them mark their territory and signal their presence to others in dense tropical rainforests.

Officials at the Louisville Zoo introduced Bianca, a 1-year-old female binturong — otherwise known as a bearcat — on Thursday, Louisville Zoo spokesperson Kyle Shepherd said.

Sheba, the new binturong, or bearcat, from the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago, is the newest animal to arrive at the Erie Zoo.

The binturong has a prehensile tail, crazy feet, and excretes a scent that smells like popcorn. Just call it Orville Smellenbacher.
